Telstra calls it “Appliance Anxiety” and says that new research confirms that four in 10 Aussies will suffer from it during the holiday season – all because of worrying while on holiday whether they have forgotten to switch off appliances at home.

The telco undertook research coinciding with the broad availability of its Smart Home platform, in advance of the Easter holiday period, when it  says holidaymakers’ biggest worries are whether the house will “still be there” when they get back. Leaving the iron on tops the list (22%) of things Aussies are most anxious about.
